Those "rich" Republicans don't own the media. They don't own those giant social media monopolies that censor our freedom of speech. They don't own those giant corporations who are pushing the gay agenda down our throats either. Nor do they own those giant money-hungry organizations that are for selling body parts of aborted fetuses either...or pushing assisted suicide.
Makes me wonder...what DO they own? Obviously the people who claim to be Democrats because Republicans are only out for rich people's benefits own everything and Republicans don't. So, who is out trying to defend the rich?

How is it that a U.S. President who doesn't except a dime from the taxpayers for his work to Make America Great Again can be considered one of those greedy people, I just don't get.
The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House for lack of transparency. Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!
Following news reports that President Trump has blocked the release of the Democratic Memo refuting claims made in the so-called Nunes Memo, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY, 12th) released the following statement:
"After viewing both House Intelligence Committee memos, I can say, without a doubt, that not releasing the Democrats' memo is a great disservice to the American people. While I cannot comment on the details contained in the Democrats' memo because the President has refused to release it, I can say that it eviscerates Mr. Nunes' claims. This politicization of intelligence and quest to discredit the brave men and women of our intelligence and law enforcement communities must stop. Mr. Nunes' and President Trump's behavior are abhorrent and dangerous."

“You'd think, given their effusive support for tax reform in the past, our Democratic friends would at least wait to review the legislation before they pounce on it.”

Of all things for the Democrats to worry about, now they're worried that Trump is going to pardon himself or his family members for something. I don't think President Trump has done anything wrong to pardon himself for, but I guess they think he might. In a press release from Karen Bass (D-CA, 37th), the Democrats have decided to create a resolution that will prevent this from happening.
“Due to the current President’s proven willingness to slander the truth and exploit legal ambiguity for personal gain, we must explicitly forbid the possibility of a pardon for himself or his family,” Rep. Bass said. “Throughout this presidency, I’ve heard from thousands of constituents concerned about pardon power. The recent pardon of Joe Arpaio only amplified those concerns. Millions of Americans face the consequences of their own unlawful actions, and they repay their debt to society. If any president of any party or their family commits federal crimes, benign or extreme, they too must suffer the consequences of their actions. I call on my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to uphold our civic duty to protect our justice system.”
I think the Democrats need to stop focusing on how much they hate Trump, and start worrying about how they are going to get re-elected. The future doesn't look too bright for them these days, unless they know a bunch of dead Democrats.

Of course, since he is not a lefty liberal, I'm sure there is nothing you will like about him. You guys have already made it clear that you will not work with anyone who isn't. On Thursday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) introduced a new version of the DREAM Act (an acronym for Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors). The President has pledged, through a spokesperson, to fight this bipartisan legislation that would allow immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children to live and work here legally if they meet certain criteria. This happens as the DACA program (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the program that provides temporary deportation relief for Dreamers and allows them to work legally) is under attack by Republican leaders and it is clear the President and his team are unlikely to defend it. This could make the 800,000 people who would qualify for the DREAM Act and who currently have DACA vulnerable to deportation, especially because they have registered with federal authorities as part of the program.
